Physical Therapy Jobs in Tennessee
You did not go to PT school to run four patients at once and sign notes at nine at night. We are hiring a licensed physical therapist in Jackson for a caseload of older adults, one on one, with the time to actually treat them.

What the role actually is.
We are looking for a licensed physical therapist for our Jackson clinic on Union University Drive. Full time is the default, and we will build a part-time schedule for the right person. GeriHab is family owned and operated by Dr. Michael Chua, PT, DPT, and it is not a general orthopedic shop. We run five clinics across West Tennessee and the caseload is senior-focused: balance and gait, fall prevention, vestibular complaints, stroke and other neurological diagnoses, arthritis, joint pain and the general deconditioning that quietly takes someone's independence. You will see a range of ages and a range of complexity, and you should be comfortable with both.
Here is the part that matters most. Sessions run 30 to 60 minutes and they are one on one. Your patient is not handed to an aide halfway through, and you are not covering three treatment tables while trying to remember whose shoulder is whose. A typical plan of care is two to three visits a week for four to six weeks, so you get long enough with a person to actually change something and to see whether you did. What you document is what you delivered.
The other honest part: this work is slow, and the wins are not dramatic. Nobody is returning to a sport. Somebody is getting off the toilet without calling for help, driving to church again, or staying in their own house another two years. If that reads as small to you, this is the wrong clinic. If it reads as the whole point, keep going.
Who does well on this team.
A Tennessee license is the only hard requirement. Experience helps, and new graduates are welcome because the mentorship is real. Beyond that, three things separate the therapists who stay from the ones who do not.
You like the diagnostic part
An 80-year-old rarely arrives with one clean problem. There is a knee, a medication list, a fear of falling and a spouse in the waiting room. If untangling that is the interesting part of your day rather than the annoying part, you will do well here.
You can work alone and still be on a team
You will make your own clinical calls and own your caseload. You will also be expected to ask a colleague, take the second opinion, and give yours when someone asks. Autonomy without isolation, and no scoring points off each other.
You want to keep getting better
Our clinicians meet monthly for education on joint mobilization, neurodynamics, exercise progression and regression, and blood flow restriction, among other topics. If your skills have been flat since graduation and you are fine with that, this will feel like a lot.
Compensation, support, and how to apply in Tennessee.
We would rather you not work a second job to make the numbers work, so the package is built around a base salary with a bonus structure. Here is what comes with it and what happens after you write to us.
Pay and benefits
Base salary plus a bonus structure, with medical, dental, vision, a 401k, accrued PTO and holiday pay. Scheduling is flexible enough to build a full-time or part-time position around a real life. We do not publish a salary figure because it depends on your experience, so ask us directly.
Mentorship and CEUs
Structured mentorship, unlimited CEUs and CEU reimbursement, plus the monthly clinical education sessions the whole team attends. Dr. Chua is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a published author on dementia care, so the teaching here leans heavily toward the aging brain and body.
Apply, then come see it
Send your name, phone, email and resume through the form below. We will reply, set up a conversation, and then have you walk a clinic during treatment hours. You should see how we actually run before either of us commits.
Send your name, phone, email and resume through the short form below, or call the Jackson Highland clinic at (731) 462-4315, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Tell us which location interests you and whether you are looking for full time or part time. If you are still in school or finishing a clinical rotation, apply anyway. We would rather meet you early.
Application received.
